What is Fortera?
Fortera is a construction and real-estate operations platform for property developers and builders, an ERP and CRM in one. It runs the whole project lifecycle from the first enquiry through procurement, construction and quality, all the way to occupancy certification and handover, on four connected pillars: Sales & Customer, Construction & Operations, Procurement & Supply, and Finance & Compliance.
Who is Fortera for?
Fortera is built for small-to-mid real-estate developers and builders, typically owner-managed firms running a handful of projects without a dedicated IT team. It is designed to be simple enough for site supervisors and procurement managers to use on their phones, with no training friction.
Is Fortera compliance and tax ready?
Yes. Regulatory-approval workflows and tax handling are built in, not bolted on. Fortera produces tax-ready registers, handles three-way match on vendor bills, RA bills with retention, and statutory deductions, ready for your accountant to file. Region-specific tax and regulatory formats are configured to your jurisdiction.
Does Fortera work offline and in multiple languages?
Yes. Fortera is mobile-first and offline-tolerant, records created on patchy or no network are queued and auto-synced when the connection returns, with no duplicates. The interface and customer notifications are multilingual, honoured per user and per customer preference.
How long does it take to go live?
About two weeks for a full go-live, and about one week for a single-project Essentials rollout. Fortera is built on a proven, production-ready foundation, so you go live in weeks, not a year-long custom build.
Is my data private?
Yes. Fortera is single-tenant, your own private instance in the jurisdiction you choose, with your data staying yours. It includes TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, field-level encryption for confidential ledgers, a full audit trail on every action, and owner-controlled emergency lock-down and verifiable data purge.
How is Fortera priced?
Fortera is offered as a fixed price for an agreed scope, no hourly meters and no per-seat charge as your teams grow. There are three plans (Essentials, Professional, Enterprise), with pricing confirmed after a short, no-obligation scope workshop. Enterprise uses milestone-based payments, and you own your private instance and data on final payment.
How is Fortera different from a generic CRM or ERP?
Fortera speaks the real vocabulary of a construction site out of the box, L1/L2/L3 rate comparison, rate-freeze, quality-gated payments, OC-readiness checklists, three-way match, confidential ledgers and working-capital control. A generic CRM or ERP has to be stitched together to approximate this; Fortera is purpose-built for it.
Does Fortera integrate with WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp is a first-class channel in Fortera. Purchase orders can be shared to vendors on WhatsApp, approvals and approval-expiry reminders reach the right person on WhatsApp, and booked customers get stage-completion updates and payment reminders on WhatsApp, in their preferred language, with an owner-review queue so nothing goes out unseen.
